About Deneene

Grief counselor and intuitive author Deneene Florino was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, in a family that nurtured her spirituality and intuition.

Confronted at an early age with the inevitable cycle of life and death and the process of grieving seemingly unbearable losses, Florino was challenged to transcend the crippling experiences of loss to find their spiritual meaning. Emboldened with a sense of true purpose, Florino found a calling in helping people to accept the unacceptable and overcome unbearable pain and grief. Florino graduated from DePaul University with degrees in psychology, biology, and theology.

Under the teachings of renowned Dr. Elisabeth Kübler-Ross, Florino absorbed the wisdom of Ross’s knowledge about the process of dying and grief. For nearly a decade, Florino utilized what she learned in her work as a hospice spiritual care and bereavement counselor.

She now is the founder of The Angel Tales inc. which consists of writing books, Life Passages and Transitional Coaching, and The Angel Tales Foundation. She also runs the daily operations of her family's business in the Chicagoland area.
