The Angel Tales

Inspired by the book The Christmas Box by Richard Paul Evans, The Angel Tales: Refuge for A Parent's Healing Heart is a literary haven for all grieving parents and my gift to those whose lives have been touched by deep loss.

Chronicling my journey to visit eleven Angel of Hope statues, The Angel Tales gives voice to the children who died at all ages from in utero to old age and their parents. Each Angel has its own story: why it was erected, how its location was chosen, and the miracles that have taken place around it.

The stories also discuss topics such as grief support organizations like Share Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support, funerals and memorial rituals, the anxious waiting in a neonatal care unit, the gift of organ donation, the effects grief has on remaining siblings, the challenges of growing old, long-term illnesses as opposed to sudden deaths, national tragedies like the Oklahoma City bombing, and the work of the Red Cross in helping heartbroken families.
